Touch ups – after 4 weeks

Eyebrow pmu may look up to 50% darker for the first few days. Once the top layer heals, exfoliates and scabs of, the soft colour and natural look will start to resurface. Fully healed results will be seen once the healing process is completed which averages 4 to 6 weeks. The pigment might look faded, uneven or not visible before then, hence why touch ups are not recommended before the 4 week mark.

Longevity recommendations

To ensure your eyebrows do not fade prematurely, post care is important:

• wear spf (sunscreen) when planning to be in the sun for extended periods of time.

• avoid using retinoids in the eyebrow area.

• avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, micro needling and any invasive treatments in the area that could compromise your skin composition to maintain the best results, touch ups once a year are recommended.

What is a Powder/Ombre Brow?

A Powder/Ombre brow is a form of permanent makeup that gives a similar effect to wearing powder or pencil on your brows.  The procedure is performed using a rotary machine.

What are Nano Brows?

Nano brows are a form of cosmetic tattoo that mimics the look of hair strokes to create hyper-realistic eyebrows.
To create nano strokes, a handheld machine is used. This is different from Microblading which is done using a manual handheld tool to create hair strokes.

How long will it last?

Permanent makeup generally lasts up to 2-4years.  The pigment is placed under the dermis and cannot be washed or rubbed off so in that sense it is considered permanent.  It is often referred to as “semi-permanent” because it fades over time and a touch-up will be required at some point. The longevity of your tattoo will depend on many factors such as the colour of pigment used, skin type, lifestyle (sun exposure) and treatment of skin (dermabrasion, chemical peels, etc.).

Does it hurt?

Some clients describe feeling minimal pain and discomfort comparable to threading or waxing; while others report feeling barely any pain at all.  The amount of pain will depend on the client’s pain tolerance and body’s reaction to anesthetic. We use two types of very effective topical anesthetic. We always do our best to make sure you are comfortable. Anesthetic can be applied throughout the procedure at any time if needed.

How long does the procedure take?

The appointment generally takes 3 hours from start to finish. This is not a rushed procedure and we ensure enough time is allotted.

Do I need to tweeze or thread my brows before the appointment?

Please don’t do anything to your brows before coming to your appointment.  We can clean up your brows after we’ve decided on the shape and before we start the procedure.
